HEBREW WOMEN IN WOOLEN GARMENTS
Hebrew women wear very colorful clothing. Most shepherd
garments are made from the wool of their sheep. The wool is dyed various
colors, spun into yarn, and woven into highly innovative, distinctive, and
decorative patterns. Notice that no two women are wearing the same pattern.
Hebrew women are considered very beautiful to look upon. The
Egyptians actually created "make-up" to make themselves look as
pretty as Hebrew women look naturally; with their vibrant eyes and luscious
lips.
Fringes! Also known as "gedeleem", the Israelites
were commanded to wear them on the boarders of their outer garments (ref.
Num.15:37-41 and Deut.22:12).
http://sarabe3.tripod.com/israeliteimages.html
As for womenmitpachath (Ruth 3:15; Isa. 3:22) and radiyd
(Song 5:7; Isa. 3:23) describe a veil or shawl worn over the head.
As the last section of this article I will cover jewelry. The
entire second half of Isaiah 3 (as referenced several times above for clothing)
could warrant its own article on the vast amount of clothing and jewelry
mentioned for wealthy women, but I will only mention a few of them below. It is
probably the longest list of apparel that we have (though it is connected with
only women) in the Bible, though I will reference other verses for those
articles of jewelry not included in the Isaiah 3 list. First, a kuwmaz, which
that was worn by Hebrew women, seems to denote any form of necklace or
bracelet, perhaps formed together with beads (Numbers 31:50, Exodus 35:22).
Another type of general necklace was rabiyd used of the necklace given to
Joseph. Two interesting articles of jewelry (a necklace and its pendant) occur
in conjunction with not only women but also camels! Apparently the ancient
Middle Eastern people decorated their camels profusely. Anaqdescribes the
necklace (Judges 8:26; Prov. 1:9) and saharon the interesting crescent-shaped
pendant often attached to them (Judges 8:21, 26; Isa 3:18).
Moving on, tsamiyd was a type of bracelet, commonly given to
women (Ezekiel 16:11), and was used with rabiyd (as mentioned above) in Ezekiel
chapter 16, which contains a rich description of Israel. Also used in Ezekiel
16 is nezem which were earings or rings(Exodus 35:22; Ezekiel 16:12) and 'adiy
which are women's ornaments/jewels, especially a brides. Adiy was condemned in
Ezekiel 7:20 for being used to make idols, but Ezekiel 16:7 pictured wearing
them as a “coming of age” symbol. Lastly jewelry worn by both women and men
included other types of bracelets and (surprisingly, for men) earrings.
Netiyphah were the earrings (Judges 8:26; Isa. 3:19) and ets'adahdescribes the
bracelets. Saul wore an ets'adah, which was taken off of him when he died in
battle (2 Sam. 1:10). It is connected with the word tse'adah which means to
“march”, by abstract of the concrete meaning “bracelet”, which may be worn on
the wrist or ankle. These tse'adah would then seem to be common bracelets
(perhaps worn by warriors in battle) if their sound could be recognized and
used as representing marching (by making them jingle). This is alluded to once
as an attractive women's anklet-ornament in Isaiah 3:16.

HOLIDAYS
Christian Holidays are ancient pagan feasts that were
ushered in by the Roman Catholic Church during the rule of emperor Constantine.
Constantine was a pagan sun-worshipper who had a "Christian
experience" that wanted to unite his empire, both Christian and pagan
together. He achieved this by re-writing history and re-naming pagan feasts
with Christian names.
VALENTINE'S DAY
Pagans in Rome celebrated the evening of February 14th and
February 15th and as an idolatrous festival in honor of Lupercus "the
hunter of wolves". It was not until the reign of Pope Gelasius that the
holiday became a "Christian" custom. "As far back as 496, Pope
Gelasius changed Lupercalia on February 15th to St. Valentine's Day on February
14th." The original Saint Valentine was Nimrod, on this day in February,
Semiramis, the mother of Tammuz, was said to have been purified and to have
appeared for the first time in public with her son as the original "mother
and child."
MOTHER'S & FATHER'S DAY
Mother's Day dates back to ancient cultures in Greece and
Rome. In both cultures, mother goddesses (Queen of Heaven). were worshipped
during the springtime with religious festivals. The ancient Greeks paid tribute
to the powerful goddess Rhea, the wife of Cronus, known as the Mother of the
Gods (Queen of Heaven). Similarly, evidence of a three-day Roman festival in
Mid-March called Hilaria, to honor the Roman goddess Magna Mater, or Great
Mother, dates back to 250 BCE.
As Christianity spread throughout Europe, the celebration of
the "Mother Church" replaced the pagan tradition of honoring
mythological goddesses. The fourth Sunday in Lent (Weeping for Tammuz), a
40-day fasting period before Easter, became known as Mothering Sunday. To show
appreciation for their mothers, they often brought gifts or a "mothering
cake" (Jeremiah 7:18) and over time, it began to coincide with the
celebration of the Mother Church. Mother's Day always falls on the second
Sun-day of May, and like so many other holidays rooted in pagan sun-worship
including Father's Day which always falls on the third Sun-day of June, usually
fall on the day named in honor of their most powerful god -- The Sun!
EASTER SUNDAY
Easter or Ishtar, also known by her biblical name Semiramis
and later called the "Queen of heaven" was the widow of Nimrod and
mother of Tammuz. Easter is the bare breasted pagan fertility goddess of the
east. Legend has it that she came out of heaven in a giant egg, landing in the
Euphrates river at sunrise on the first Sunday after the vernal equinox, busted
out, and turned a bird into an egg laying rabbit.
To honor this event, pagan sun-worshippers would go out
early in the morning and face to the east to watch their sun-god arise over the
horizon before having a mass (sacrifice) in which the priest of Easter would
sacrifice three month old human infants and take the eggs of Easter and die
them in the blood of the sacrificed infants. The blood-red colored Easter eggs
would later hatch on December 25th, the same day her son Tammuz the reincarnate
sun-god would be born...how convenient!
Easter married her son Tammuz who was by legend the
reincarnate sun-god. Tammuz went pig hunting and was gored to death by a wild
boar and that is why pagans eat ham on Easter. Because Tammuz was killed when
he was forty years old, pagans fast one day for each of the years that he lived
leading into Easter. This practice is known as Weeping for Tammuz by pagans but
called Lent by Catholics.
HALLOWEEN
All Saints' Day was followed by All-Souls' Day, November 2,
unless that was a Sunday then it was November 3, this was another Catholic
adaptation of pagan festivals for the dead. Prayers for the dead are an
integral part of the traditional All Saint's Day services, which are scheduled
in Catholic churches on November 1, and on the next Sunday. Halloween gets its
name from the Catholic holiday, it is a Hallowed evening, because it precedes
All Hallows' Day, thus: Hallow'en. Halloween is a pagan holiday to honor the
dead and evil spirits. We are warned not to take part in customs and traditions
like this in the Scripture.
take heed to
yourself that you not be ensnared to follow them, after that they are destroyed
from before you; and that you not inquire after their deities, saying,
"How do these nations serve their dieties? I will do likewise." You
shall not do so to YaHuWaH your Elohim: for every abomination to the YaHuWaH,
which he hates, have they done to their deities; for even their sons and their
daughters do they burn in the fire to their deities. (HIM Deuteronomy 12:30-31)
Halloween is a perfect example of what this passage is
referring about. Pagans served their gods by honoring the evil spirits on
Halloween. They did this by dressing up like the evil spirits and giving
offerings to the evil spirits. This is why candy is given out on Halloween, as
offerings for the evil spirits. The phrase trick or treat was attributed to
this practice because pagans believed the evil spirits would do something bad (trick)
to them if they did not leave an offering (treat) for them. I would rather
honor the Most High.
THANKSGIVING
The pagans in Rome celebrated their thanksgiving in early
October. The holiday was dedicated to the goddess of the harvest, Ceres, and
the holiday was called Cerelia. The Catholic church took over the pagan holiday
and it became well established in England, where some of the pagan customs and
rituals for this day were observed long after the Roman Empire had disappeared.
In England the "Harvest Home" has been observed continuously for
centuries.
In our own hemisphere, among the Aztecs of Mexico, the
harvest took on a grimmer aspect. Each year a young girl, a representation of
Xilonen, The goddess of the new corn, was beheaded. The Pawnees also sacrificed
a girl. In a more temperate mood, the Cherokees of the American Southeast
danced the Green Corn Dance and began the new year at harvest's end.
No wonder Chief Massasoit and his ninety braves felt right
at home with the Pilgrim Fathers on that day in 1621!! Obviously, the idea for
this "first Thanksgiving" did not just "pop" into the mind
of Governor Bradford as most people believe! On the contrary Thanksgiving, in
the guise of the pagan harvest festivals, can be traced right back to ancient
Babylon and the worship of Semiramis!
CHRISTMAS
Christmas was celebrated by pagan sun-worshippers for
thousands of years before the Messiah was even born. It all started during the
building of the tower of Babel. Nimrod supervised the operation and was called
the sun-god and worshipped as such. To end this worship, Nimrod's uncle Shem,
Noah's eldest son, killed Nimrod and cut his body into small pieces then
scattered his body parts across the land.
Ishtar or Easter, also known by her biblical name Semiramis
was the widow of Nimrod. She was called the "Queen of heaven" and
claimed to have been impregnated by Nimrod through the rays of the sun and
later had a son by the name of Tammuz who had a miraculous birth on December
25th. Pagans believed that Nimrod was reincarnated as Tammuz and so Easter
married her son Tammuz. Pagan sun-worshippers celebrated the birthday of the
reincarnate sun-god on December 25th. Scripture is very clear that we are not
to celebrate this particular holiday.
The children
gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to
make cakes to the Queen of Heaven, and to pour out drink offerings to other
deities, that they may provoke Me to anger. (HIM Jeremiah 7:18)
The passage above is obviously referring to making Christmas
cookies and leaving those cookies and a glass of milk for Nimrod's widow Easter
who was called the queen of heaven. The only difference is now those offerings
are left for Santa (Satan) himself. Let's move on and read another passage from
Scripture.
Thus says YaHuWaH,
"Do not learn the way of the gentiles, and do not be dismayed at the signs
of the heaven; for the gentiles are dismayed at them. For the customs of the
peoples are vanity; for one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands
of the workman with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they
fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it not move. (HIM Jeremiah 10:2-4)
This passage is obviously referring to cutting down the
Christmas tree, putting it on some sort of tree stand, and decorating it. Once
you learn why it had become customary to use an erect evergreen tree that has a
pointed end decorate it with big red balls you will realize the extent of the
perversion in this holiday. The erect tree symbolizes Nimrod's erect
masculinity. The tree was evergreen because evergreen trees are full of life
year round, like Nimrod's penis. The tree was pointed at the end just like
Nimrod's pecker. The big red balls that dangle off the tree, well you get the
picture. This holiday is perversion at its best.
Every sun-god was born on December 25th. Amun-Ra, Horus,
Mithra, Tammuz, and Zeus were born on December 25th. If there was one day that
the Messiah was not born, it was December 25th. In fact the Scripture is quite
clear that Messiah was born late September or early October on the first day of
the Feast of Tabernacles.
SUNDAY SERVICES
Early believers kept Saturday as the Sabbath until March 7,
321 CE when Pope Constantine passed a law requiring believers to worship on
Sunday, the day the pagans worshipped the sun-god. Believers still kept
Saturday as the Sabbath until another law was passed eleven years later. This
law signed into decree by Pope Constantine forbid believers to worship on the
Sabbath (Saturday) and it was punishable by death by the Catholic Church. Many
believers were burned to death by the Catholic Church for keeping the Sabbath.
All Scripture is quoted from the:
Human Instruction Manual (HIM)
EVIL SYMBOLS
PETER'S
CROSS - Satanists are not the brightest folks to begin with, but you
would think they would check to see if a symbol already had a meaning before
adopting it as their own. Satanist think if they invert a symbol, it will make
it evil or if they spell something backwards it makes it cool. The fact is that
this symbol has been known as Peter's Cross for the better part of two-thousand
years. It is written and widely believed that Peter was crucified upside down
by his own request.
CROSS - Many
people assume that the cross is a Christian symbol. Christians have indeed
adopted the cross but its origins date back long before the Messiah was ever
born. The cross can be dated back to ancient Babylon and the worship of the
sun-gods Mithra and Tammuz. In fact the cross was not used by Christians until
the fourth century after Emperor Constantine (a pagan sun-worshipper) had a
vision of the cross in front of the sun.
ANKH - Also
known as the Long Life Seal. While Christians try to say the ankh is not a
cross, make no mistake about it, the ankh is indeed another rendering of a
cross. This symbol originated in Egypt and symbolizes reincarnation. Egyptians
were pagans and worshipped many gods like the sun-god Amen-Rah, and the pagan
sun-trinity: Osiris, Isis and Horus. The ankh and the common cross were both
used equally in ancient pagan sun-worship.
FISH
SYMBOL - Also known as the Ichthys Symbol (Greek for fish). Another
adaptation of a pagan symbol into Christianity. The fish was used worldwide as
a religious symbol associated with the pagan "Great Mother Goddess."
It was meant to represent the outline of her vulva. It is linked to the Age of
Pisces and also has associations with the Hindu deity Vishnu but more so with
Dagon the fish-god of the Philistines. The name Dagon is derived from dag which means fish.
There have also been discoveries of the fish-god in sculptures found in Nineveh
Assyria. Dagon is also found in the Scriptures (Judges 16:23-24; 1 Samuel
5:2-5).
TRIQUETRA
SYMBOL - Another symbol of the occult adopted by Christianity. This symbol
is used to symbolize the Christian trinity doctrine, however this symbol was
originally used to represent the Three-Part Goddess (Maiden, Mother, Crone).
This symbol is used as a secretive sign by the Aquarian Conspirators (A New Age
Cult) and appears on "The Aquarian Conspiracy" a New Age handbook.
This symbol also appears on the popular TV show "Charmed" which
promotes witchcraft and appears on the front cover of "The Book of
Shadows" which is used in witchcraft and Satanism.
PROTECTION
SYMBOL - Also known as the Ritual Circle. In the occult a circle always
represents a boundary of power. If you see a symbol enclosed in a circle, more
times than not it is a symbol of the occult. It is a common practice for those
who claim to have outer body experiences to draw a circle around their bodies
before leaving so that nothing else can enter it while they are away.
EARTH
SYMBOL - Also known as the sun cross, solar cross and as a Hopi medicine
wheel. This is the symbol for mother earth in pagan religions such as wicca and
other forms of witchcraft. the four sections sometimes represent the four
seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter or the four elements of the earth:
Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. I have actually seen this symbol on the Calvary
Chapel down the street from my house.
PEACE
SYMBOL - Also known as the Cross of Nero. Many people are not aware of the
origins of this symbol or how it became to symbolize peace. This is the cross
of Nero, a broken and inverted cross, enclosed in a circle which represents
Nero's vision. Nero believed that there would be world peace without
Christianity, thousands of Christians were martyred under the rule of Nero.
This is what the "peace symbol" represents regardless of what it
means to you.
ANARCHY
SYMBOL - Also known as the Circle-A. Many people do not give it much
thought but the anarchy symbol is also of the occult. Enclosed in a circle is
the letter A, which represents anarchy. Anarchy is the absence of all law and
disobedience to any existing law. This is the nature of Satan our adversary who
rebelled against our creator, "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the
law" is the one and law in the Satanic religion. When applied spiritually
this doctrine is the doctrine of sin (I-John 3:4).
GAY SYMBOL
- Also known as the Thaumaturgic Triangle. Ignorance is bliss amongst the
homosexual community. The symbol they adopted to represent their sexual
orientation has long been used by Satan worshippers to conjure demons from the
bowels of hell. The triangle is used as a door and the circle as a boundary of
power. Some Satanists admit doing away with the circle in hopes of being
possessed.
PENTACLE -
A real popular symbol used by many that dabble in the occult. Many pagans such
as those who practice wicca and other forms of witchcraft wear the emblem as a
pendant. Some even go as far as placing them in all the rooms of their homes,
especially during pagan holy days such as: Christmas, Easter, Father's Day,
Mother's Day, New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day, Valentine's Day, and last but
not least, Halloween.
PENTAGRAM
- Another rendering of the popular symbol, only inverted. Today, the pentagram
may be even more common than the upright pentacle. Satanists, a more sinister
breed of the underworld usually wear this symbol as a pendant or use this symbol
in satanic rituals. It is found at many sites where sacrifices and other
rituals have taken place. It is also found as art work on many Satanic heavy
metal albums such as Slayer.
HEXAGRAM -
Another star enclosed in a circle and another popular symbol used by those who
practice various forms of witchcraft. This symbol is not as popular with
Satanist and may even be used exclusively by those practicing other forms of
the occult such as wicca and other forms of witchcraft. Some people confuse
this symbol with the Magen David.
MAGEN
DAVID - Also known as Solomon's Seal. This symbol used by the chosen race
(Debarim/Deuteronomy 7:14) is often confused with the hexagram by those not
familiar with symbology but the Magen David lacks the all too familiar circle
associated with most other popular occultic symbols. Magen is the Hebrew word
for shield, that is why it is called the Shield of David by some. Legend has it
that King David's shield was shaped as such. It is likely to be associated to
King Solomon as well and legend says the symbol appeared on the handle of King Solomon's
Sword.

Monster Energy Drink: Secretly Promoting 666- The Mark of

Beware of subtle symbols.
“Impersonal forces over which we have almost no control
seem to be pushing us all in the direction of the Brave New Worldian nightmare;
and this impersonal pushing is being consciously accelerated by representatives
of commercial and political organizations who have developed a number of new
techniques for manipulating, in the interest of some minority, the thoughts and
feelings of the masses.” – Aldous Huxley, Preface to A Brave New World
Symbolism is the language of the Mysteries; in fact it is
the language not only of mysticism and philosophy but of all Nature, for every
law and power active in universal procedure is manifested to the limited sense
perceptions of man through the medium of symbol. Every form existing in the
diversified sphere of being is symbolic of the divine activity by which it is
produced. By symbols men have ever sought to communicate to each other those
thoughts which transcend the limitations of language. Rejecting man-conceived
dialects as inadequate and unworthy to perpetuate divine ideas, the Mysteries
thus chose symbolism as a far more ingenious and ideal method of
preserving their transcendental knowledge. In a single figure a symbol may both
reveal and conceal, for to the wise the subject of the symbol is obvious, while
to the ignorant the figure remains inscrutable. Hence, he who seeks to unveil
the secret doctrine of antiquity must search for that doctrine not upon the
open pages of books which might fall into the hands of the unworthy but in the
place where it was originally concealed. – Manly P. Hall, The
Secret Teachings of All Ages, p. 38
“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are
not ignorant of his devices. “ - 2 Corinthians 2:11
Monster energy drink has become one of the top energy drink brands in
the world with its promotion of a super shot of enegry for high adrenaline

the Beast of the Antichrist in its logo? We will explore.
The Logo
Monster’s everpresent logo is this symbol:
Certain blogs and
websites have noticed that the logo is very similar to the Hebrew letter “Vav”. In
the Hebrew Alphabet, every letter is also a corresponding number and Vav is the
number 6. Thus the three Vavs in a row form 666, which is the Biblical number
of the Beast:

As we discussed earlier, a good logo design is not just
a visual representation of a business. It actually describes stories, ideas and
the mission of that particular business. It can convey emotions, fascinate the
viewers and even manipulate them into doing things. These logos tell you
stories and today we are sharing with you one such fascinating story which is
hidden behind Nike’s world famous swoosh logo. Though many people who see that
sign do not know the story behind it but the story actually tells you so much
about Nike, the company.
Nike was the name of a
Greek Goddess in the ancient Greek culture. She was the goddess of victory and
was daughter Pallas a Titan, and Styx a Naiad. Nike’s mother Styx supported
Zeus in the titan war and brought her four children Nike (victory), Bia
(force), Cratos (strength), and Zelus (Rivalry). In return Zeus promised that
he will keep them closer forever. The four young deities then stood beside
Zeus. Nike was given the divine chariot to ride. During the war of the Titans,
Nike comforted Zeus and helped him regain his strength and strike back. That is
why Nike is also attributed as the goddess of the strength and triumph.
In ancient Greek she was the goddess of victory and helped
the rightful to succeed. Her wings swooshed and so does the feather she kept in
her hand. Her attributes were also associated with the force and speediness.
This is the story that the logo and the brand name of Nike
tells us. Your famous sportswear
company is named after an ancient Greek goddess of victory, and her sisters
were the goddesses of force and strength and her brother was the god of
rivalry. She bestowed upon fame and glory to those who achieved victory. If you
think, isn’t this what Nike (the shoe company) does to successful athletes?
They give them the fame and glory by signing them up for their marketing and
advertising campaigns while bestowing everything they wear with the swoosh
logo?
Study on feast days
YHWH (Yahweh) commanded anyone who believes in Him to
keep and celebrate seven Feasts: Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits,
Weeks, Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Tabernacles (Leviticus 23). Man has
added some "traditional" celebrations such as Hanukkah which is
preserved in the books of 1 Maccabees and 2 Maccabees; and Purim from the book
of Esther, and more. Some of the more modern historical holidays include
Israeli Independence Day, Holocaust
|
As believers in YHWH and His Son, Yeshua, everyone
must observe the seven Biblical feasts. Contrary to popular belief, they
weren't just meant for "the Jews" (see Numbers 15:13-16) because
there were no "Jews" until after Jacob begat the Tribe of Judah
from which the term "Jew" is derived; yet, up until then, every
believer was Torah observant, keeping the Seventh Day Sabbath and the
Biblical Feasts, etc. Yeshua has so far only fulfilled the
first 4 of the 7.

Leviticus 23 outlines seven Biblical Feast Days and
shows how YHWH wants us to celebrate them. The first four occur in the
Springtime and the last three in the Fall, with a harvest time noted in
between. As you will see, YHWH commanded a specific and fixed day for the
commemoration of each Feast. These days will be found at varying times on our
Gregorian calendar because man's timetable/calendar is different from God's.
Each of YHWH's Feasts foreshadows not only Yeshua, but also the sequence of
events in His "grand Plan":

An indepth study
Passover/Pesach: Passover (Nisan 14) falls in the
March/April timeframe on the Gregorian calendar: Leviticus 23:5 tells us: "'In
the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, between sundown and
complete darkness, comes Pesach for ADONAI."
This Feast celebrates the deliverance of the Hebrew slaves
from Egypt. It is a tale of redemption through the killing of the Passover
Lamb whose blood was to be applied to the doorposts of their houses - an act
which would spare their firstborn from the Tenth Curse against Pharoah. YHWH
promised that the Angel of Death would "pass over" those houses
with the blood on the doorposts, and spare the first born (Exodus 12:1-13).
This foreshadowed Yeshua, YHWH's "Passover Lamb" who fulfilled
Passover when he was crucified and willingly allowed His own blood to be shed
on our behalf in order to become our redemption. In other words, the innocent
died for the guilty; and sacrifice not only means death but also life (Isaiah
53.)
Yeshua took our bitterness so that we might be able to
live an abundant life. During the celebration of Passover, we remember and
identify with the bitterness of slavery by eating bitter herbs and matzah
(unleavened bread). For instructions on how to celebrate the Passover, please
see The Voice.
Be sure to click "Back" at the top left of the page in order to return
to The Refiner's Fire.
How do you celebrate Passover? Before Passover
(Nisan 14) begins, we must clean all items containing leaven out of our
houses, because leaven represents "sin". Don't cheat and put your
leavened items in the garage or barn; the purpose of this exercise is to OBEY
the command to get "the sin" out of our lives! If you put your
leavened items in the garage you are, in essence, hanging onto your sin....
The Feast of Passover (Nisan 14) encompasses a total of 8
days, including the Feast of Unleavened Bread (which is an actual
Shabbat/Holy Day), which starts at sunset on Nisan 14 (it is the second day
of Passover). On the first day of Passover, Nisan 14, we prepare food to eat
that evening (which kicks off the Feast of Unleavened Bread). Note that
Yeshua, the Passover Lamb who was without sin, died around 3 pm on 14 Nisan.
He to be down off the cross before sunset - because of the Shabbat/Holy Day
of Unleavened Bread which was to start at sunset....Nisan 15 and the
Seventh Day of the Passover are holy days, so we get two Shabbats
during Passover.
Exodus 12:1-13 tells us about the first Passover in which
the Israelites in Egypt were told to bring a lamb into their houses on the
10th day and raise it until the 14th day upon which they had to slaughter and
eat it - around sunset on the 14th (when it becomes the 15th). Yeshua
ultimately was THE PASSOVER LAMB! Halleluyah! This does not mean He abolished
the need to celebrate Passover; it simply meant He fulfilled one of the
Feasts that YHWH's people are to celebrate each year.
PLEASE NOTE the next two feasts below fall during the
Feast of Passover!

Unleavened Bread/Hag HaMatzot which is a
SHABBAT/holy day, is celebrated on Nisan 15 and marks the beginning of
a seven day period during which the eating of leavened Bread is forbidden as
leaven is a symbol of sin (I Cor. 5:6-8). Messiah Yeshua fulfilled this Feast
when he was buried and became our righteousness (Rom. 6:4, II Cor. 5:21).
Exodus 23:14-16: "Three times a
year, you are to observe a festival for me. Keep the festival of matzah: for
seven days, as I ordered you, you are to eat matzah (unleavened bread) at the
time determined in the month of Aviv; for it was in that month that you left
Egypt. No one is to appear before me empty-handed. Next, the festival of
harvest, the firstfruits of your efforts sowing in the field; and last, the
festival of ingathering, at the end of the year, when you gather in from the
fields the results of your efforts."
On 15 Nisan at sunset (which, all day long
was the Holy Shabbat of Unleavened Bread) you start counting the omer.
(This is sunset from 15 to 16 Nisan that is when you say: "This is the
first day of omer...")

Firstfruits/Yom HaBikkurim: Celebrated on Nisan
16, Firstfruits falls during the March/April timeframe. This Feast
celebrates the bringing of the firstfruits of the winter harvest to the
Temple. This Feast was fulfilled ("fulfilled" does NOT mean
abolished!) when Yeshua rose from the dead (I Corinthians 15:-20-23). Please
note, the first three Feasts were fulfilled through the crucifixion, burial
and resurrection of Yeshua haMashiyach!
|
Weeks/Shavuot is a Shabbat/Holy Day: The Feast of
Weeks/Shavuot is celebrated during the May/June timeframe. Exodus 34:22 tells
us: "Observe the festival of Shavuot with the first-gathered produce
of the wheat harvest, and the festival of ingathering at the turn of the
year...."
Counting of the Omer towards Shavuot: (Exodus
34:22.) Torah directs the seven-week Counting of the Omer (which begins
on the second day of Passover and culminates after seven weeks (49
days), the next day (50th day) being Shavuot). The counting of the days and
weeks convey the anticipation of and desire for the Giving of the Torah. In
other words, at Passover, the Israelites were freed from their lives of
slavery in Egypt; and 50 days later on Shavuot they accepted YHWH's Torah
which made them a nation committed to serving God. This Feast was fulfilled
by the coming of the promised Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) on the
disciples of Yeshua in the Temple. It represents the beginning of the body of
Messiah on Earth, in which ALL believers, redeemed through the blood of
Messiah, are lifted up before ADONAI and set apart as holy (Acts 2, John
14:15-18, Ephesians 2:11-22).
During this time, believers read the book of Ruth, which
is the story of a non-Jew who was accepted into the household of Israel. Ruth
was King David's grandmother and an ancestor of Yeshua.

Yom Teruah (Trumpets)/Rosh Hashana (A Shabbat/Holy
Day): This Feast on Tishri 1 falls in the September/October timeframe.
Leviticus 23:23-25 says: ADONAI said to Moshe, "Tell the people of
Isra'el, 'In the seventh month, the first of the month is to be for you a day
of complete rest for remembering, a holy convocation announced with blasts on
the shofar. Do not do any kind of ordinary work, and bring an offering made
by fire to ADONAI.'"
It is the Jewish Civil New Year; the anniversary of the
creation of Adam and Eve and their first actions toward the realization of
man's role in the world; of the first sin that was committed and resulting
repentance; a day when YHWH takes stock of all of His Creation, which
includes all of humanity.
During this Feast, the blowing of shofars (rams' horns)
signifies the bringing together of God's people, warning them to repent
during the coming "days of awe" (the 10 days between Trumpets and
the Day of Atonement).
According to tradition, during this time the Jewish people
concentrate all their efforts into making amends with their brethren and
apologizing for past offenses. However, what most traditional Jews do not yet
realize is that this Feast is the next one to be fulfilled by Yeshua, because
when the trumpets will sound and the true believers in Messiah Yeshua will be
gathered/resurrected (I Thess. 4:13-18, I Cor. 15:50-54).
This Feast also signals the call for repentance, for the
time is short and Judgment is coming upon the Earth - whether people are
read, or not! (See the Book of Revelation.)
|
Day of Atonement/Yom Kippur - A Shabbat/High Holy Day
on which we also fast: This Feast represents the need for the
sacrifice/sin offering that must be made for the sins of the nation. Yeshua
WAS that Sacrifice and He will be recognized for it at the Marriage Supper of
the Lamb which will take place immediately after Rosh Hashana/the
"rapture" just BEFORE we all return with Him to fulfill the Feast
of Tabernacles, wherein Yeshua will "tabernacle" among us for the
next thousand years! Celebrated on Tishri 10, this Feast falls in the
September/October timeframe. Leviticus 16:29 tells us: "It is to be a
permanent regulation for you that on the tenth day of the seventh month you
are to deny yourselves and not to do any kind of work, both the citizen and
the foreigner living with you. For on this day, atonement will be made for
you to purify you; you will be clean before ADONAI from all your sins. It is
a Shabbat of complete rest for you, and you are to deny yourselves. This is a
permanent regulation."
This Feast represents the need for the sacrifice/sin
offering that must be made for the sins of the nation. As the Bible tells us,
YHWH/Yeshua shall descend to put to an end the sins of Israel. At that time
they will call for the Messiah Yeshua to return and will mourn for the
"One who was pierced". This day will be fulfilled upon the Second
Coming of Messiah to the Earth (Matt. 23:37-39, Hos. 5:15 thru 6:1-3, Zech.
13:8,9 Zech. 12:10, Zech. 13:1, Ezek. 16:61-63).

Tabernacles/Sukkot (Shabbats are on the 1st and 8th day):
The main thing about Sukkot is that Yeshua, our Savior was
born during the Feast of Sukkot (not on the 25th of December, which is a
Christian myth!) and circumcised on the eighth day. Because there was no room
at the inn (Luke 2:7), Miriam and Yosef (Mary and Josef) ended up in a
"sukkah" - temporary dwelling. Celebrated on Tishri 15, this Feast
falls in the September/October timeframe. It is outlined in Deuteronomy 16:13 -
15, where YHWH tells the Israelites: "You are to keep the festival of
Sukkot for seven days after you have gathered the produce of your
threshing-floor and winepress. Rejoice at your festival - you, your sons and
daughters, your male and female slaves, the L'vi'im (Levites), and the
foreigners, orphans and widows living among you. Seven days you are to keep the
festival for ADONAI your God in the place ADONAI your God will choose, because
ADONAI your God will bless you in all your crops and in all your work, so you
are to be full of joy!
Leviticus 23:39-43: "'But on the
fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered the produce of the
land, you are to observe the festival of ADONAI seven days; the first day is to
be a complete rest and the eighth day is to be a complete rest. On the first
day you are to take choice fruit, palm fronds, thick branches and
river-willows, and celebrate it in the presence of ADONAI your God for seven
days. You are to observe it as a feast to ADONAI seven days in the year; it is
a permanent regulation, generation after generation; keep it in the seventh
month. You are to live in sukkot for seven days; every citizen of Isra'el is to
live in a sukkah, so that generation after generation of you will know that I
made the people of Isra'el live in sukkot when I brought them out of the land
of Egypt; I am ADONAI your God.'"
Did you notice that all Israel is to live in a
sukkah for seven days? While some rabbis believe that only those who
physically live in Israel need to live in temporary dwellings, the fact is, all
are commanded to keep this Feast, and so the least we can do (unless the family
is into camping and wants to live in a sukkah for the whole seven days) is
build a sukkah in our back yards and eat a meal there at least once
during this festival.
Sukkot serves as a reminder of the days in the wilderness
when YHWH's people were forced to reside in tents/huts or temporary dwellings -
a reminder of our temporary lives on Earth. It will be fulfilled by the
ingathering of the "Final Harvest" of souls just prior to the setting
up of the kingdom of the Messiah on Earth. Philipppians 2:10-11 tells us in
that day Yeshua will reign from Jerusalem and "every knee will bow in
heaven, on earth and under the earth - and every tongue will acknowledge that
Yeshua the Messiah is ADONAI - to the glory of God the Father." His
Kingdom is to last 1,000 years before the eternal order begins in the "new
heaven and new earth (Revelation 21)!
